Legacy Giving
The Friends of Gertrude Field – Community Music Center’s legacy society
Gertrude Field, the Founding Director of ninety year old Community Music Center, defined CMC’s mission as creating art for life’s sake not art for art’s sake.
The Friends of Gertrude Field honor in perpetuity those who remember CMC in their estate so that future generations will have music in life. A planned gift could include a bequest of property or cash, a trust, a life insurance policy or retirement account.
Your planning can help assure that Community Music Center makes music available forever. You can:
• Support scholarships for future young students who otherwise would not be able to study music.
• Continue the CMC tradition of low/no cost performances for the community.
• Designate your area of special interest from among CMC’s wide range of offerings. Examples include financial aid for senior citizen study or facility maintenance. You may also designate named funds you would prefer to support with your gift or you may create a Fund.
If you have already included Community Music Center in your plans, please contact us if you would like to become a member of The Friends of Gertrude Field. Membership includes an honorary invitation to the annual All School Recital and inclusion in The Friends of Gertrude Field membership list (if you prefer to be listed). Please call the Development Director at 415-647-6015 ext.76 if you would like to discuss planned giving to the Community Music Center.
